Coaching Staff
KEVIN JACKSON (DIRECTOR)
Kevin Jackson is a USSF licensed coach with over twenty years of experience working with youth, high school and college players. He is the owner and director of Elite Futsal Charleston and is a former player for the USL PRO Charleston Battery.
Jackson was an All-American high school player in Pittsgrove, NJ. He went on to become a four year starter and All-American player at Lehigh University. After graduating with a degree in political science, he became an assistant coach of the varsity men's soccer team at Lehigh. In 2000, Jackson was drafted in the MLS Super Draft by the Chicago Fire. From there, he went on to play with the New England Revolution. In 2003, he joined the Charleston Battery and was a key player in leading the team to a national championship that year. He retired (for the first time) from professional soccer in 2005. After a five year hiatus, Jackson returned to the midfield for the Charleston Battery in 2010 and the team won the USL PRO championship. Having played in over 120 games with the Battery, he is in the top 10 ranked all time record holder for games played. |
JOSEPH TERRY (COACH)
Joseph Terry, is a Charleston local who has experience as a coach and professional player. At the age of 10, Terry started to be coached by Kevin Jackson, and is now with EFC full-time as a coach.
Terry is a former All-Lowcountry high school player at Bishop England High School, winning a 2011 2A State Championship. He grew up playing for local clubs such as Summerville Soccer Club, Daniel Island Soccer Academy, and South Carolina United Battery Academy before moving onto collegiate play. In 2013, Terry went on to play collegiate soccer at Regis University, winning a league title in the RMAC conference and reaching the Elite 8 in the NCAA D2 National Championships. Terry transferred to College of Charleston in 2016 and graduated with a Sociology Degree in 2017.
In 2018, Terry then moved onto Hamilton Wanderers AFC in New Zealand's top-tier, the ISPS Handa Premiership, for 2 seasons. In 2020, Jet signed for Germania Ratingen 04/19 before returning to the states.
